These pliers are used to remove exhaust hanger brackets from their rubber mounting straps on most cars and light trucks with little effort. Simply place the removal jaw behind the rubber grommet ring and the forcing pin of the pliers on the end of the steel hanger. When the handles are squeezed, the forcing pin pushes the ring off the hanger.
